M.Ed.\/Ed.S. in School Psychology<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This full-time, 72-credit, three-year degree program prepares graduates for a career as a school psychologist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The program\u2019s curriculum prepares students to deliver evidenced-based services to students in public schools and related educational settings. The third year includes a 1,200-hour, 10-month, supervised internship that meets all requirements for certification in school psychology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Grounded in the principles of modern school psychology, the program focuses on data-based decision making, collaborative problem solving, prevention, and early intervention within a multi-tiered system of supports. Students learn to use data to understand student needs, work closely with educators and families, and design interventions that promote learning and well-being for all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Coursework and field experiences develop strong skills in assessment, consultation, counseling and social-emotional learning, while fostering the cultural competence and systems-level perspective needed to build equitable and supportive school communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Clark\u2019s M.Ed.\/Ed.S. program in School Psychology offers a carefully sequenced plan of study that integrates theory, research, and practice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Students begin with foundational coursework in psychology and education before progressing to applied training in assessment, consultation, and intervention. Early practice opportunities are embedded throughout the program, allowing students to connect coursework to real-world experience from the start. The program culminates in a full-time, supervised internship during the third year, preparing graduates to deliver comprehensive school psychological services in diverse educational settings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The School Psychology program is hosted within Clark University\u2019s Department of Education in collaboration with the Mosakowski Institute for Public Enterprise<\/a>. Through combined academic study and practical application, we prepare our graduates to foster the psychological well-being and social equity of all students, particularly those from vulnerable groups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
